After the Prime Ministers’ announcement on Sunday, over 500,000 people called up about getting their third Covid-19 booster to try and stop the spread of Covid-19 getting worse and to stop the spread of the new Omicron virus that is currently sweeping the UK! This virus is currently spreading fast in the UK and the key thing to do is get a booster to allow the spread to slow down and the UK to go back to normal.
With over 500,000 people trying to get the vaccine booster, this means that walk-in centres and other areas are filled with hundreds of people queuing outside and waiting to get the boosters, therefore there has been a call for volunteers to help those in need!
Yesterday alone, the UK had over 50,000 cases again. 54,661 to be exact. 37,907 recovered from the virus yesterday and over 30 people died after contact. Covid-19 is seeming to get worse over time in the UK, with a wave of Omicron that could happen and could be more fatal than the first wave of Covid-19.
Scientists in the UK predicts this could be the worse part of the pandemic and could overwhelm the NHS.
