In the UK, Boris Johnson introduced this new system that allows everyone to know if Covid-19 is a huge threat to the UK, for example, if more than 10,000 people got infected… the level will most likely be at the highest point, meaning level 5, however, the UK started out on level 4, so everyone went into lockdown due to this high level and nothing was due to change since everything was still new at this point. Recently the UK has seen a massive decrease in coronavirus cases and a massive decrease in coronavirus deaths. Less than 3,000 in the past few days, meaning the level has now been lowered down from 4 to 3!
Boris introduced this to show people in the UK how infectious this virus is and to show everyone that the virus is slowing down with everyone following the guidelines! This could mean that everyone will be ok with everything that is happening, so no one stresses about the virus. The Coronavirus leveling system was a great idea and will be in the world until coronavirus is officially gone. This does not mean that the pandemic is over, the pandemic is still far from over, in most of the world so far anyway. The UK has seen a massive decrease in infected people, but this does not mean the war against Coronavirus is done.
This image above shows the levels and what they mean, the UK started this when they were in level 4. however if the UK gets back to level 5… Lockdown will begin once again. The fear is almost over, but the war is still going on. China is currently experiencing a second spike of this virus, however not many people are getting infected, but the virus is still spreading quite fast. Meaning there could be more if this continues. The UK is relatively safe right now, but the government is not stopping lockdown until they are sure.
