Covid-19 is back in the UK with some more cases getting told. There has been another rise and this one is due to the Omnicron variant and sub-varients. This is due to the virus being easy to contact and easy to infect. The UK has seen a massive increase and could see a bigger increase in cases soon!
The weekly coronavirus infection stats show figures of 2.3m infections that were recorded in the week of 14th June, which is reportedly up from 1.7m the week beforehand!
This means that Covid-19 infections are now up by 32% in a week rather than in a few months, this could indicate that Covid-19 could be coming back with a terrible infection rate!
Across the UK, one in 30 people are said to have Covid-19, however, Scotland has reported that 1 in 18 people have Covid-19.

It is believed that people can catch the newer variants even if they have had coronavirus recently, which is terrible news for those who think that they are currently immune.
With the rise in cases, the UK will stay with the living with Covid-19 plan, however, this could change if things get too big in the UK, however, PM Boris Johnson has focused his attention on the Ukraine war!
