Covid-19 has infected almost 70,000,000 people around the world and has almost killed 1,600,000 people around the world, however nearly 50,000,000 people have recovered from this virus, which means that currently, over 19 million people are currently experiencing the virus and that number is currently going up rapidly.
The vaccine has now been made and has now been rolled out to those who are vulnerable to the virus, meaning over 80s and those in care homes. As well as maybe those that have health issues, since the virus is able to kill those with health issues and those over the age of 50.
With the virus vaccine being rolled out, there is always a big moment for the one that is first to get the vaccine. A 90-year-old woman called Margaret Keenan has been given the vaccine and currently the first person to receive the virus. She even said that this is the “best early birthday present” as she is turning 91 very soon.
“I feel so privileged to be the first person vaccinated against Covid-19, It’s the best early birthday present I could wish for because it means I can finally look forward to spending time with my family and friends in the new year after being on my own for most of the year. My advice to anyone offered the vaccine is to take it. If I can have it at 90, then you can have it too,” she continued to say!
