The UK thought they did well in containing the virus from spreading around, with under 500 cases a day near the end of the first virus lockdown… It seemed like the UK did well, however as time went on, it shows the UK just made the virus even worse and now more deadly than ever before.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a second lockdown to start on Thursday as the virus cases seem to constantly be rising from 20,000 up to 29,000 cases a day and with him putting the UK in lockdown in March with under 6,000 cases a day… It was only bound to happen, however this is different to the other lockdown we saw in March 2020.
This time round, schools and colleges will remain open for those seeking education and for those wanting to gain something during Lockdown. Every restaurant is set to close again with takeaways staying open as they are able to do there business without being fully open. Lockdown this time round has only said to last a month, but if the cases don’t go down, then it may go on for longer than we expected.
One of the main reasons this has happened is due to Christmas being around the corner and everyone wanting to be able to see there family’s, however most people in the UK seem to think this lockdown won’t work as effective as the last one, as it’s only going on for a month.
Alongside this that the PM has said that virus deaths maybe worse than the first time we saw it. This will come to a shock to everyone.
