As of right now, the UK is struggling to see a way out of this wave. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is trying to find new ways to counter the virus but nothing is seeming to stop the spread of the new variant and the old one. Covid-19 is continuing to cause endless amounts of problems and more for the UK. So far, the only effective way to stop Covid-19 is to either close the borders to allow no one back into the UK or lockdown. Which the PM is trying to avoid at all costs.
In the UK, right now, cases are still rising and going down… And then rising again. There are now 91,743 new cases added to the UK’s list of cases. So far, 11,453,121 cases have been confirmed in the UK and only 7,483 are in hospital. The NHS is currently getting more and more Covid-19 patients in a day and so far it’s not very overwhelming, however, it is getting to this stage again. Lockdown may be the last resort, but nothing else is working.
With cases rising from 80,000 a day to 90,000 a day in just 2 days, it shows the virus is unpredictable and very hard to understand and very hard to see if it will just disappear after everything, however so far, the PM is considering a lot of different measures before lockdown, but this may be the o[tion he chooses as there hasn’t been a higher case rate than right now, leading up to Christmas too.
