England has started to ease lockdown a lot since they first started 3 months ago. The restrictions are slowly going down every so often and the PM is currently going through a lot of stress with Coronavirus still here but slowly getting better and better. Lockdown is easing up each day and fewer infections are happening each day, however with everything opening up next month, could this spark a huge spike in the UK if everything reopens? Or will everything be ok and life as we know it goes back to normal?

Pubs, Restaurants, hotels, and hairdressers can now reopen as of the 4th of July with the new social distancing rule. The rules will allow everyone to still meet up, however, the rules will change. The 2-meter rule is now a 1-meter rule, however, Boris Johnson has said that if possible, everyone must remain 2 meters apart if possible, but now its 1-meter rule. The rules in households and the bubble system will still remain the same, meaning the social distancing rule will still apply to this, but the rule has now been eased.

The venues listed are being able to reopen if they follow these rules:

  • Pubs, Bars and Restaurants
    • This will reopen with owners asking for everyone’s contact details to help with contact tracing.
  • Hotels, Holiday Apartments, Campsites, and Caravan Parks
    • Shared facilities must be cleaned properly.
  • Theatres and Music Halls
    • Will not be allowed to hold live performances
