Tottenham Defy The Odds To Join Liverpool in Madrid With Moura Hat Trick

Being 3-0 upturned out to be unlucky in the Champions League Semi-Finals this year as first Liverpool and now Tottenham rallied to reach the Final after both being 3-0 down on aggregate at one stage. Spurs trailing 1-0 from the home leg found themselves 3-0 down after 35 minutes in Amsterdam as first de Ligt struck and then Ziyech appeared to put the tie beyond doubt.  However, Spurs and in particular hat trich hero Lucas Moura produced a spectacular second-half performance and they just about deserved their last gasp winner.

The game was a thriller for the neutral too with 40 shots at goal and 15 corners to add to the 5 goals and the 96th-minute winner, and this sets up only the third ever major European final to feature two English teams, the others being the 1972 Uefa Cup final (Spurs v Wolves) and the 2008 Champions League final (Man Utd v Chelsea).

Ironically tonight could produce the 4th given that Arsenal & Chelsea are both slightly favoured in their respective Europa League Semi-Finals.
