This Week in the Premier League!

This week in the Premier League saw that Arsenal could actually go the entire way after beating Liverpool who were considered the best in the league alongside Manchester City. Manchester City now has a team to try and beat over the coming weeks and even over this year if they continue their run of form. This will only be the 3 main games that took place, however their is a video on the Five Minutes Spare YouTube channel of all the games. 

Liverpool v Arsenal!

This game was the game that Arsenal needed to prove themselves. They were on a winning streak and lost to Manchester United after having an incredible run of form. This game was in favour of Liverpool as they have currently got one of the best teams in Europe alongside Manchester City, Real Madrid and other teams across Europe.

1 minute into the game… Arsenal managed to score. Breaking the deadlock within 1 minute. They have been in good form recently and having such an amazing stroke of luck getting through one of the toughest teams in the league. This lead was cut short however in 34 more minutes when Darwin Nunez scored to make it 1-1.

Just before half time, Saka managed to score in the added time before the half ended. The half ended 2-1 to Arsenal, however the game was not over for Liverpool as they went on to score in the 54th minute of the game.

The match was 2-2 until the 76th minute. Saka steps up to take the penalty, he managed to score the goal and make Arsenal win 3-2!

Manchester United v Everton!

This game was all in favour of one team, Manchester United, as they have got some incredible talents and a great team. United have not been playing Ronaldo since the beginning of the Ten Hag era.

The game went 5 minutes without a goal, however Alex Iwobi was the man to score for Everton. Making it only 1-0. This lead didn’t last long at all.

Ronaldo was brought on and he managed to score in the 44th minute and Antony managed to score 10 minutes after Everton scored.

The game ended 2-1 to Manchester United with no one else scoring any goals in the second half. Frank Lampard is having a hard time at Everton.

Manchester City v Southampton!

This match was only set for one team for a lot of people, a lot of fans of football thought this game would go one way, however the luck of some teams have been incredible in the Premier League.

Southampton went longer without a goal than both Liverpool and Manchester United combined. Cancelo managing to score in the 20th minute of the game.

Manchester City didn’t stop there, they managed to score again in the first half with Phil Foden.

The second half saw another two goals for Manchester City, one from Riyad Mahrez and one from the best striker in the league right now, Haaland.

Manchester City managed to win 4-0 against Southampton. What a game for them!
