Matchday 22 of 38! What Could Happen?

The Premier League this year has been unpredictable. Manchester United are 6th in the league, after having a brilliant season last season, Liverpool have managed to be undefeated until the new year and West Ham are climbing up the table. Anything goes this season. The Premier League has changed a lot these last couple of years, with low tier teams surprising everyone, Leicester City won the League in the 2015/16 season, Wolves have made the jump from the Championship to the Premier League and are now 9th in the League! We are over halfway through the season and can see who could be in the Champions League this year, unless they flop, but the question is who are the top 3 teams against this weekend and what can we expect to see?

Liverpool will be against Brighton on the 12th January 2019, Liverpool are currently 1st in the league and Brighton are 13th so, we can only assume Liverpool will beat Brighton, however, Liverpool are currently have lost 2 games in a row, one being in the Premier League and one being in the FA cup. Lost to Manchester City 2-1 and lost to Wolves 2-1, so, Liverpool need to make dramatic changes if they want to win the League convincingly! Right now, we can say Liverpool have the better chance of winning this game, but we don’t know for sure! We might see Brighton upset Liverpool this weekend. Brighton will be pushing for this win and will be attempting to beat Liverpool, so they can say they were the second team to beat Liverpool in the League this year!

On Monday the 14th January 2019, Manchester City will be going up against Wolves. Manchester City have been in top form recently, winning there last 5 games and almost beating Burton by 10 goals! Wolves however have been doing extremely well for what everyone thought they would be like, Wolves got promoted this season and has shown everyone how good of a team they are! Beating Liverpool in the FA cup and beating Spurs 3-1! This could one of two ways, Wolves will contain Manchester City and do what they did against Liverpool and Spurs, or Manchester city run through them! Manchester City will be the favourite since they are 2nd in the league and one of the best teams this season!

Spurs have got one of the hardest games out of the three teams, Manchester United are the team to beat currently, ever since they sacked Jose Mourinho, they have been in top form, not lost a game since they lost to Liverpool. Spurs will need to keep up the pressure if they are wanting to beat Manchester United and have a chance of winning the League this season! Harry Kane is one of their best players and should make an impact when they go up against Manchester United on Sunday the 14th January 2019. Spurs will struggle and Manchester United will force their way to the top if they need to!
