17 days into the transfer window, Chelsea have decided to sell Cesc Fabregas and have almost agreed to send Morata either on a short-term loan with Atletico Madrid or sign for them, however Chelsea have decided to try and get one of the best Argentinian strikers in the Serie A; Gonzalo Higuaín! Head Coach Maurizio Sarri has been keen on signing Higuaín for some time now and as of right now, he is very confident that he will be joining the club in a couple of days! A lot of people believe that Chelsea are only bringing Higuaín into the club because of all the striker problems they have had in the past, like Fernando Torres and most recently Morata. He will most likely be replacing Morata and will be wearing the number 9 shirt, however will he play as well as he does in the Series A in the Premier League?
The Premier League is known as one of the hardest leagues in football today, but that’s not the only thing that’ll stop Higuaín, the number 9 shirt for Chelsea is known for making world class player perform terribly! This happened to Fernando Torres! He was world class, one of the best players in the world, but one small move to Chelsea changed him! This could happen to Higuaín if he wears the number 9 shirt, or he might not be able to adapt to the Premier League, like most players do. This could be a huge step up for him, he’ll just have to perform well. If Higuaín does join Chelsea, will he be able to adapt to the Premier League?
