Yesterday, 9th April 2019, Liverpool went up against FC Porto in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League! A lot of fans thought that this would be an easy win for Liverpool because they have beaten Porto before and they know what they are like, however Porto went though the league with ease and that could of mean’t that Porto had some momentum coming into this game. FC Porto could have beaten Liverpool this game, they were in top form in the first few minutes of the 90, however they fell short when Naby Keïta scored a defection to make it 1-0! The Dream of beating Liverpool in the Champions League seemed over for Porto, however there was still time for a Porto to grab the win!
First half, we saw both goals, one from Naby Keïta and one from Firmino. Second half didn’t have any goals. The game ended 2-0 to Liverpool! On the 17th April, Liverpool will go up against FC Porto again, however with 2 goals. FC Proto will have to pull off something special if they are wanting to beat Liverpool this season! Liverpool are currently on there way to becoming Premier League and Champions League winners this year, Manchester City also have the chance to become both, however they lost to Spurs 1-0… Maybe we will see Liverpool v Spurs in the Final of the Champions League this year! Who would win if that was the case?
