
Super Bowl ads are almost as big a part of the celebration as the game itself, and this year thanks to the less than enthralling action on the field and the forgettable half-time performance they added a bit of welcome relief, even if they were much less risque than in previous years.
Video advertising analysts Realeyes, ranked the M&Ms commercial starring Christina Applegate as the number one this year, and it was entertaining, however, for us, Michael Bublé’s “Bubly” was the best just taking the family-friendly humour award, and for the more adult humour Dietz Nuts was one of the most amusing Super Bowl ads we have seen in quite a while.
Honourable mention for slagging the competition goes to Bud Light for “Special Delivery”.
Overall it does indicate that if you want to sell something impulse or consumable – make it funny.
