Macaulay Culkin responds to the news of the remake of Home Alone

Disney are remaking classic movies to show on their upcoming streaming service, Disney+.  The streaming platform will launch in November and it will have remakes of films such as Home Alone, Night At The Museum and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Disney now owns the movies after the company bought the film studio 20th Century Fox.

Home Alone is a Christmas must have film starring Macaulay Culkin who plays the role Kevin. The first film is when Kevin is 8-years-old and shows how he protects his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation. It was originally released back in 1990 and has an audience rating of 80%. The move has earned over £385m worldwide. It has two sequels which are Home Alone 2: Lost In New York and Home Alone 3.

When Macaulay Culkin heard about the remake he took to Twitter to share his response. He wrote: “This is what an updated Home Alone would actually look like,” he wrote, with a picture of him eating pasta from his sofa while surfing his laptop.

He later adding: “Hey @Disney, call me!”

People are not pleased about the film being remade as the original one is so good. Some users whipped out infamous gifs from the movie to show their feelings of the remake.
