Disney are remaking classic movies to show on their upcoming streaming service, Disney+. The streaming platform will launch in November and it will have remakes of films such as Home Alone, Night At The Museum and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Disney now owns the movies after the company bought the film studio 20th Century Fox.
Home Alone is a Christmas must have film starring Macaulay Culkin who plays the role Kevin. The first film is when Kevin is 8-years-old and shows how he protects his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation. It was originally released back in 1990 and has an audience rating of 80%. The move has earned over £385m worldwide. It has two sequels which are Home Alone 2: Lost In New York and Home Alone 3.
When Macaulay Culkin heard about the remake he took to Twitter to share his response. He wrote: “This is what an updated Home Alone would actually look like,” he wrote, with a picture of him eating pasta from his sofa while surfing his laptop.
