Justin Bieber admits ‘heavy drug use’ and ‘disrespecting women’.

Justin Bieber has admitted that he started doing “pretty heavy drugs” when he was a teenager due to the pressures of being a child star. The singer took to Instagram to share a long worded message on how the fame went to his head and pushed him to make bad decisions by the age of 20.

Bieber was discovered when he was only 13, talent manager Scooter Braun discovered the singer on YouTube.  In the post Bieber explains how being in the spotlight put  “an insane pressure and responsibility” onto him even when he was just a child. 

The singer told his fans how there was days in the past were he had felt overwhelmed by his life and suffered with depression – he said it got to the point”where you don’t want to live any more”.

In the post he said: “I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships. I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry.

“I became distant to everyone who loved me, and I was hiding behind a shell of a person that I had become. I felt like I could never turn it around.

“Everyone did everything for me, so I never even learned the fundamentals of responsibility,” he said. “By this point, I was 18 with no skills in the real world, with millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted.”

In the past years he has been headlines for his behaviour rather than his music and in 2014 there was a petition started to deport him from the US which got over 100,000 signatures.

The post has got support from many celebrities who had been in the same position and the post has been liked over 2.5 million times.
