
Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp (John Christopher Depp II) is an American actor, producer, and musician. He is a household name with an extensive filmography but is most recognised as Jack Sparrow in the film series Pirates of the Caribbean.

Johnny Depp was born on the 9th of June 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He is the youngest of four children born to Betty Sue Palmer and John Christopher Depp. When Depp was 15 his parents divorced and later his mother remarried.
Before becoming an actor Depp's first aspirations was to become a musician. He dropped out of school at the age of 16 to become a musician, however, returned to school two weeks later only to be told to follow his dream of being a musician.
A year later in 1980, he began playing guitar in a band called "The Kids". The band relocated to LA and renamed themselves "Six Gun Method" in an effort to obtain a record deal.
In December 1983 Depp married Lori Anne Allison who was the sister of the band's bassist and singer. Lori Anne introduced Depp to Nicolas Cage who advised Depp to pursue an acting career.
Shortly after this advice, Depp obtained his first film role in 1984 within the Horror classic "A Nightmare On Elm Street".
He started to rise to stardom and make himself an American household name when he starred as an undercover police officer in the Television Series "21 Jump Street".
After the success of "21 Jump Street," Depp was in a position to have more choice of the roles he was playing and leaned towards roles that he found interesting rather than what was a likely Box Office hit.
In 1990 he was introduced to Tim Burton and starred in the romantic fantasy film "Edward Scissorhands" alongside Winona Ryder.
Over the next ten years, he starred in a variety of films from multiple genres that proved the acting talents that he possessed.
In 2003 Johnny Depp Starred in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" as Captain Jack Sparrow. the Film and his Character portrayal earned him Critical Acclaim as well as numerous awards. This started there long success of the Film Series.
Depp later continued his success with Tim Burton with his portrayal of Willy Wonka in the 2005 adaptation of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".
In 2006 Jack Sparrow returned to our screens in the second instalment "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At worlds end" the following year.
In the same year, Depp and Tim Burton joined again for their sixth film together in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street".
In 2010 they again collaborated in the adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland" where he played the Mad Hatter alongside Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Alan Rickman.
In 2011 Depp starred in the Animation film "Rango" and the fourth instalment on Pirates of the Caribbean returned Jack Sparrow to the big screen, both were commercially very successful.
In 2017 The fifth instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean was released where he again reprised the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales"
In 2012, Depp was one of the world's biggest film stars, and he was listed by the Guinness World Records as the world's highest-paid actor, with earnings of 75 million Dollars.
