Lore:

Adiris lore starts when she is only five years old and it explains how she is the youngest in the family of seven. Adiris  was left on a brick red burning steps of the Temple of Purgation at the centre of Babylon. This unfortunaly lead her to be in shock and sorrow the one thing she continued to hold her faith in the Gods and believed they had a plan for her within her lifetime. Adiris new life was on of quiet servitude. During the day Adiris would prepare ceremonial meals and polish the incense burners  while also tending to the gardens. Then she would spend the nights praying to the Gods to reveal her purpose.

When she finally became of age, Adiris attended a yearly worshipping as a high ranking priests and this worshipping was for the sea goat, the God of Water and Creation. She headed down the great hypo-style hall while swinging a censer down it which caused a mass amount of black fumes that engulfed the cold towering stone pillars before it dissipated. Finally, her worried became lifted and simply it made her feel closer to the god as she began to feel bliss. Each and everyday she would walk herself to the bone while completing her duties and also accepting new ones she would also assists in purification during the priest rituals.

As the cleansing became more in demand to the point they were daily and where the plague became catastrophic. Within months many priests had contracted the disease and with how lethal this plague was it did not take long for the priests become weak to preform any ritual needed. Adiris only had ever assisted in these rituals but she was only the only one left to carry it on. The overwhelming panic had to be contain even if these rituals were being preformed by a novice.

Just as normal, anxiety filled Adiris before her first ceremony, this caused her to go visit the priests sanctuary chamber. When she lit a candle she was quick to notice a narrow opening at the back of the rooms. She became curious and slips though as she did she then proceeded to reach for a hidden crypt hidden under the sanctuary. Everything was bare in the chamber, but then there it was the sign that Adiris had been waiting for her whole life. In the room was a large golden statue of a woman who had jewels covering her fingers as it stood with outstretch hands.

When Adiris entered the hall the large mass of followers who saw her bowed down. She then walked up to the brick alter and took a strong hold of the ceremonial dagger which was forged in silver. Her fingers which were covered in ruby rings held the blade like a claw. The sudden look of luxury made the followers curious not only that the followers were stunned by the youth and great beauty.

As she began to recite the Epic of Creation one of her females followers collapse without any hesitation she rushed to her woman side she could see the black blisters covering her feet. She didn’t take longer then a moment Adiris grabbed the blade and struck her own foot cutting off her  own toe offering it too the god in exchanged to protect the woman. At this point the followers claimed as her as there new priestess. This then began  a story which lead to Adiris receiving the title the High Priestess of Babylon.

However her faith started to become tired as she began to show the first signs of the infections from the plague. Her cough became a retched smell of both phlegm and blood. Then her four toed foot began to blacken, this lead her to become ashamed of her condition. This forced her into wearing a veiled headpiece as  then began to carry a censer to hide the sickening smell that began to consume her and her skin she kept the hope she would be saved as she continues to preforms the rituals she then continues to offer food and blessed water to her followers.

However no matter what happened the ritual could never save her. In a last attempt to pleased the god she believed in all her life she banished herself from the city to hopefully protect her followers. She set on her journey north with a few followers she walked though the harsh temperature of the woodlands of Urshtu, she continues until she could no longer walk. They often camped in a damp cave. This is where Adiris lay in a pool of her own vomit. Her foot continued to darker to the point of pure black and had swollen and she could not go any further. It was at this moment her followers finally knew the truth they were all infected with this horrid plague.

Adiris made one last final pray to the gods, the black fumes of the incense rose into the air that was wiped away by the cold air.

Nobody really knowns what happens to Adiris nor her followers non of them were ever found. Many told story and tails of her return but no one would ever really know the truth behind the beloved High Priestess of Babylon who had fallen to the plague.
