On the 12th of June 1929, Anne Frank was born. She was born Annelise Marie Frank in Frankfurt, Germany. She is remembered today as the accomplished, insightful writer of a work that has touched millions of people. Anne Frank and her family moved to Amsterdam to escape the Nazis, but after the Netherlands was invaded by Germany, they went into hiding. In 1942 Anne began to keep her diary. She died with her sister Margot at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in either February or March of 1945.
On this day in 2002, The International Labour Organization (ILO) launched the World day against child labour. The purpose of this day is to focus attention on the global extent of child labor and the action and efforts needed to eliminate it.
Russia has a National Holiday every 12th of June. The day Commemorates the date in 1990 when the First Congress of People's Deputies of the Russian Federation adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic.
