Doctors Eat Lego?

Doctors Eat Lego?

Six UK paediatricians swallowed Lego as part of an experiment to see how long it takes to pass through the body.

Dr Damien Roland lead the “study” and him and his colleagues swallowed the heads of Lego men for the sake of science!

He considered that young children are at risk of swallowing small objects such as Lego, especially Lego in fact as they are very popular amongst young children. He also took in to account the fear and stress that a parent must experience when a child swallows one of these small objects so he decided to try it for himself to see the outcome and potentially put parents minds at ease.

But lets face it, standing on Lego is a much more painful experience than pooping one out will ever be.

Many parents often rush their child to the emergency room after they’ve swallowed small objects, Lego being the main culprit. But they concluded that if there is no choking or no painful symptoms after swallowing Lego, then its very unlikely that anything will come of it. The body is very good a passing such objects apparently.

If a child does swallow a small object and they begin choking, feeling sick or just generally feeling unwell, you should seek medical attention.
