On the 22nd December 2018, Whyte went up against Chisora for the second time! Everyone was expecting Whyte to blitz through this contest and beat Chisora on points, however this wasn’t the case! Chisora went all in to try and secure the victory on points however, Whyte managed to pick up the win in the 11th round! by knocking out Chisora! This contest was expected to be an all out war between these two like it was last time! This ended up up a lot better than the last fight due to the last fight not having a knock out in it! This first time these two encountered was in 2016 when Whyte won the battle by a slit decision! Meaning 2 out of 3 judges thought he won the battle! 2018 however ended differently!
On Saturday, Whyte was on the bad side of things! Chisora was laying into him every round, trying to win the fight on points! He won nearly every round, however round 11 was Whytes turning point! Chisora was losing points due to him elbowing Whyte too many times and started to lose points near the end of the round! Whyte was throwing some wild shots but he hit Chisora with a left hook that knocked him straight out! Whyte won the battle due to knock out and got challenged by Joshua if Deontay Wilder doesn’t accept his fight in April! Overall the fight was one of the fights of the year!
Whats next for Chisora? He was reported talking to David Hayes about retiring the sport!
Whats next for Whyte? Whyte could be on his way to fight Anthony Joshua or to fight someone else to gain a shot for a fight against him!
