Over the weekend, Anthony Joshua beat Jermaine Franklin via unanimous decision over the weekend. This was a great comeback fight for Joshua, however what is next for the former Champion of the world.
The two time world champion was able to pick up the win on his comeback fight and called out the WBC world heavyweight champion.
The fight between Joshua and Fury was on the cards, even when Joshua lost the titles, however the contract fell through, meaning that this could not be performed and Joshua v Fury was off the table.
“Joshua has lost all his aggression and killer instincts,” Whyte said about his performance against Jermaine Franklin.
Whyte – who lost to Joshua in 2016 – said: “Every time Franklin shaped up like he was going to hit him, he hesitated. I’ve never seen him like that, he’s a bit shell-shocked.”
Joshua will be hoping to become a 3 time world champion in the months to come, however this can only happen if he puts his mind to the sport of boxing.
Fury was speaking about going against Usyk recently, however the talks went down and the fight is no longer going to happen according to some sources.
Fury v Joshua could be back on the cards, however this could only happen if Fury agrees to give Joshua a chance at the WBC world title.
