There have been loads of amazing new and upcoming fighters that have emerged from 2018! The one that stuck out the most and won ESPN fighter of the year was Oleksandr Usyk! Oleksandr Usyk has shocked the whole boxing community by storm! He has only been in 16 fights and has become the undisputed Cruiserweight champion of the world! Usyk has been one of the best fighters this year, securing all of the titles in his division and beating the likes of Murat Gassiev and Mairis Briedis! These two were undefeated until Usyk came into the mix! He started boxing in 2013 with no intention of being the best, but now look at him, beating Tony Bellew and wanting to step up into the Heavyweight division and fight Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder for their titles and become the best Heavyweight! He will most likely keep impressing us all in the coming months and become the best heavyweight in the world! Usyk has come a long way since his debut in 2013! Will he stay undefeated?
