Anthony Joshua: Can He Comeback after his Loss?

Anthony Joshua, the name that everyone knows and won’t forget. One of the biggest heavyweights in the sport of boxing is making a comeback to the ring after not being in the ring for some time.

Anthony Joshua is making his big return at the 02 Arena on Saturday the 1st of April against Jermaine Franklin.

Jermaine Franklin is currently has 1 loss on his name and this loss was to former WBC challenger Dillian Whyte, the man that loss to Joshua.

This fight is perfect for Joshua and this fight could also determine his career.

Joshua has been training hard for this comeback fight in hopes that he can keep his legacy of being one of the best heavyweights in the world.

Tyson Fury has been named to fight Joshua after he tried to get a contract sorted to fight him, however there has been rumours circulating that this could still happen.

Anthony Joshua is wanting this fight to happen, however the fight may not come as quickly as he may think.

This fight on Saturday, Joshua has to pick up the win against Jermaine Franklin, otherwise that could be the end of Joshua’s career.

Not only that, Joshua has stated that he will retire from the sport of boxing if he loses to Franklin.

Joshua said: “There’s no better time to get Fury in the ring than now because he needs me to redeem himself from this circus, this letdown.

“He needs me so there’s no better time than for him to call my name out and I’m someone that will take on any challenge.”

Joshua lost his world titles to newly crowd champion Oleksandr Usyk after losing to the Ukrainian fighter twice.

Tyson Fury offered to fight Joshua, however the negotiation fell through.

“It’s not my position to slate or slag anyone off. I’m pretty sure that fight [Fury v Usyk] will happen because I feel like there could potentially be a method to the madness,” Joshua told Steve Bruce on 5 live boxing!

“If, number one, I was in that position [and] didn’t take that fight, how would people treat me?

“And number two, if I didn’t take that fight what would Fury have to say about me? So I’m not going to stoop to that level.

“I respect everyone that steps into the ring. But I just sometimes think some people should watch their mouths a bit.”
