The Grand National
The Grand National is a National Hunt horse race that is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, England. The event, which is both prominent and popular in the British calendar, is considered by many to be the world’s greatest steeplechase. Such is the magnitude of the occasion that many people who do not normally follow horse racing will tune in to watch the big event on TV. The majority of viewers will also have a small wager on the outcome of the race.
