What is the Chase?
The Chase is a British television quiz show broadcast on ITV and hosted by Bradley Walsh. The show first aired on the 29th June 2009.
The game consists of four contestants who take it in turns to first answer questions in the cash builder round, and they then go head-to-head with the chaser to win the money raised in the cash builder round. Once all contestants have taken part, the surviving members then answer as many questions correctly as possible in two minutes. The chaser then has two minutes to answer the same amount of question correctly plus the number of contestants who survived to see the final round. In the Chasers final round in they answer a question incorrectly then the contestants get a chance to push-back the chaser 1 step if the answer the same question correctly.
The six chasers are Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis. Labbett and Wallace have both been chasers since series 1, while Hegerty joined in series 2, Sinha in series 4, Ryan in series 9 and Ennis in series 14.
