British TV Sitcoms
The popularity of the British TV sitcom started in the 1950s and grew steadily throughout the 60s and 70s. In the 1980s there were almost 200 different sitcoms that happened to grace the UK’s TV screens. However, as we all know; not all sitcoms are equal! The 1980s in particular saw the standard of sitcoms range from the sublime to the utter rubbish. Here’s a quiz on some of the more memorable British TV comedies of the 1980s.
