Matchday 8 is now over, and it’s been a strange weekend in the premier league.

The fixture has produced some good games in the past, but was pretty dull this weekend!
The Premier League is going to be missed by fans all over the world for the coming weeks, as players head off on the international break.
On this international break, select players will have the job of representing their country against other players. Some will even play some of their teammates, but until they’re both back in their club kit – they won’t see each other as teammates!
A large number of English players from the Premier League are heading off to Belgium to play the national team, where they’re hoping to get another win, but less about the national games – what happened this weekend?
Well… not much in truth. There were few goals scored across all games, and some teams were wronged by VAR again (nothing new there).
One instance of this is the Palace v Leeds game, where an ON SIDE goal that would have put Leeds in the lead, was wrongfully denied by the referee. This set the tone for the rest of the game, and Leeds ended up losing 4-1.
Man City and Liverpool, the big game everyone was waiting for were exciting for the first 45 minutes, but extremely boring after that. Two penalties – one for each team – were given away in the first half, with Salah scoring for Liverpool, and De Bruyne shockingly missing his. After a few more wasted chances from both teams, the game ended 1-1.
As usual, there were some upsets. But we’ll just let you watch those, as no amount of rambling on from us can really do them justice!
