The 2019 NFL Draft will commence on April 25 in Nashville with the Arizona Cardinals leading things off, and as per usual there will be a number of top prospects in attendance hoping to hear their name called early. Overall there are expected to be 23 in attendance, who will sit with varying degrees of trepidation in the “Green Room” hoping they will be called on day one and not left sitting when the proceedings end. Last year four green room attendees had to wait before being selected these being:
- Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa Round 2 Pick 45
- Connor Williams, OT, Texas Round 2 pick 50
- Derrius Guice, RB, LSU Round 2 Pick 59
- Shaquem Griffin, LB, Central Florida Round 5 Pick 141 (Griffin was not projected as a 1srt rounder but received a special invitation)
The good news was that all 4 had good rookie seasons.
The breakdown position-wise is six defensive linemen, four offensive linemen, Three Quarterbacks, three linebackers, two cornerbacks, two wide receivers, two tight ends and one running back.
Below is the full list of expected attendees (in alphabetical order)
