Piers Morgan has admitted he was caught speeding recently.
It was on the way to a charity event, and he used the incident to highlight the different treatment he may have received – had he not been white.
He confessed the incident on Twitter admitting he was in the wrong, and mentioning how the mistreatment of Black people by police is a “disgrace“. This comes as people around the world are taking to the streets to protest in the name of the Black Lives Matter movement, after George Floyd was grossly mistreated and ultimately killed by an American police officer – despite Floyd co-operating with police.

He wrote: “I was caught speeding today, on my way to the #PPGolf charity day. No complaints, I was late, rushing & in the wrong. The police officers who stopped me were respectful, polite & treated me with dignity.

The video Piers shares was from around last July, and showed a man getting manhandled by police, after allegedly speeding. Another police officer then came to the scene and assaulted the man and used what many believe was excessive force.
As mentioned before there has been worldwide outrage at the death of George Floyd, sparking riots, protests and even looting. The officer who kneeled on George’s neck, leaving him unable to breath, has been charged with second degree murder.
