The PM seems to have become worried that those having garden gatherings will seek shelter indoors as the weather worsens.

He acknowledged that the weather is getting worse at last nights Coronavirus briefing, turning rainy and dull, compared the the warm sunny spells we’ve been having over the past couple of weeks. Addressing this, he said that all the work we’ve done could be easily undone if the public starts to move their garden gatherings indoors.

He said: “As the weather threatens to take a turn for the worse, some of you may be tempted to move the gatherings as you’ve been enjoying outdoors, indoors, out of the rain. I really urge you – don’t do that.”

One of the PMs advisors, Mr Vallance, said that the rate of infection is indeed coming down, but not as fast as some people think. He implied that we still have a long way to go, but yes, the infection rates are slowly falling.
He then warned of the dangers of people having close contact with others. Saying: “We have to tread very carefully.”
As of yesterday, 39,728 deaths in the UK have been linked to Coronavirus, with another 359 people sadly passing away yesterday, reports say. Worldwide, there are over 6.5 million confirmed cases of Coronavirus, past and present. The number of active cases is just over 3 million worldwide.
