COVID-19 has been around for some time now and has been the main reason why people around the world are scared of going outside there own home. Pets were said to be immune to getting the virus since they were known to not contract the virus so no one was scared for their pets, however, new research suggests that pets can now get this deadly virus and can give it to humans if they contract the deadly virus. Not expected from anyone, but recent research has said that one cat has been tested positive for Covid-19! This came as a shock to everyone!

The first-ever pet to get the virus has happened and was tested in a laboratory in Weybridge, Surry last week on Sunday the 22nd of July! The evidence suggests that the cat got the virus from his owner and since then the owner has made a full recovery and only to find out his cat has tested positive for Covid-19. The deadly virus that he survived. “In line with the general advice on fighting Coronavirus, you should wash your hands regularly, including before and after contact with animals,” said the Chief veterinary officer Christine Middlemiss! Strange discovery and strange to think animals are able to get this dangerous virus.

The virus can be stopped and hopefully in the future, it will be by the new vaccine set to be finished by Christmas and or after Christmas! The virus has stopped many businesses and has stopped many things from happening this year, but this should be done and dusted by Christmas if the vaccine goes well!
