Manchester City to be Investigated?

There is always a lot of controversy with transfers for some clubs, for example, Chelsea was investigated while Lampard was in charge of them, meaning no transfers. There is now a new investigation taking place with Manchester City being the team involved!

The investigation is into a possible rule break that could leave Manchester City being transfer-banned like Chelsea was. It’s believed that Manchester City has been illegally making payments for underage players, inflated sponsorship deals, and hiding some salary payments made to the former manager!

Manchester City and the Premier League have declined any comments that were approached by the BBC.

According to Der Spiegel, German Newspaper, Manchester City was allegedly pressuring their young players ” to sign contracts with Manchester City through monetary payments, in violation of the rules”. For the sponsorship, they have been alleged to have “provided only a portion of their payments to the club themselves”.

If all this turns out to be true, they will more than likely receive either a point deduction or a transfer ban for a couple of years!
