Liverpool v Benfica: Not in Dreamland yet?

Recently in the champions league, Liverpool went up against Benfica in the Champions League Quarter-Finals. This is the game that could decide who the winner of the Champions League is as all the best teams go into the Semi-Final!

The game was great for Luis Diaz as he shows he can be one of the best players for the starting 11 for Liverpool and more. With him scoring a goal in the 87th minute and assisting Saido Mane in the 34th minute. He is showing some great football for Liverpool and could be in the starting 11 for some time now as other players may leave the club.

Klopp said;

“Coming here and winning an away game in the Champions League is tough. Obviously, Benfica fought for their lives, We could have scored in the last minute – the fourth one would be nice but we’re not in dreamland here. It’s half-time, we know much more about our opponent, they will go for it again. They won at Ajax, they ground out all the results out in the group stage that they needed, so we are aware of the quality and now we have a nice game in between and then we will be ready again for Benfica.”

The game was won by Liverpool in the first half, however, Benfica managed to open the deadlock to make it 2-1 in 50 minutes with a future star by the name of Nunez scoring in the 49th minute with Ferreira Silva giving the assist, however, this wouldn’t change the outcome and Diaz scored the last goal to secure the win for Liverpool FC.

The first round was won by Liverpool with Benfica having given away 3 away goals, how will they do in Liverpool’s home ground in the second leg?
