For the past few months, Chelsea have been chasing one of the best players in the world to try and make their attacking line one of the best in the league, with already signing Sterling, there was a chance Chelsea could have signed Ronaldo as they were targetting Ronaldo this transfer window.
Cristiano Ronaldo was on the way to leaving Manchester United as he failed to succeed at United this season. Still being one of the best players in the world and in the team, Manchester United managed to finish 6th in the league… With Arsenal being higher than them for the first time in 3 years. This is similar to the 2018/2019 season.
The whole world wanted to sign Ronaldo, and the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and even some other teams were interested, however, Chelsea was linked the most with Ronaldo for a few weeks.
Chelsea was hopeful of signing the Portuguese forward, however, after the signing of English star Sterling, this went out the window and it is believed that Chelsea is no longer going for him.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has also said Ronaldo is” in our plans” and “not for sale”.
This resulted in the world stopping the bids, however, Ronaldo is still wanting to leave the club!
