Kim Kardashian West is set to continue with her fight against injustice in the United States, she has just announced that she will be releasing a two-hour documentary on prison reform. The documentary will be called Kim Kardashian: The Justice Project.
The documentary will focus on Kim’s efforts to secure the freedom on Americans who she believes have been wrongly charged by the justice system. According to a press release Kim vowed an “exclusive, never-before-seen look inside her mission to tackle one of America’s most controversial subjects.”
Kim registered with the California State Bar which is the official attorney licensing agency. After speaking about her studies Kim faced lots of criticism.
In response, Kim said: “I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or my money that got me here, but that’s not the case. One person actually said I should ‘stay in my lane’.
“I want people to understand that there is nothing that should limit your pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals. You can create your own lanes, just as I am.”
Last year, Kim personally influenced Donald Trump to grant mercy to a 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson who was serving a life sentence for the first time for a non-violent drug offence. In June, US President Trump removed the sentence.
In the past three months Kim has helped 17 prisoners, she is involved in a campaign called 90 Days of Freedom.
Last week, Kim tweeted to say she had successfully helped secure the release of another low-level drugs offender from prison. Kim wrote: “We did it again! Had the best call w/this lovely family & my attorney @msbkb who just won release for their loved one Jeffrey in Miami – he served 22 years of life sentence for low level drug case. He served too much time but it gives me so much joy to fund this life saving work.”
