WBC have issued a statement regarding Dillian Whyte’s situation and about him failing his drug test. The WBC board have suspended Whyte’s status as the WBC interim world heavyweight champion and suspended him from fighting Deontay Wilder for the WBC world heavyweight championship as well, due to him failing his drug test. This has ruined his chances of becoming the next WBC champion and potentially beating Deontay Wilder for the first time, if Tyson Fury doesn’t beat Wilder that is before they were “meant” to have a fight.

Whyte has had this same thing happen to him in the past, he had been tested for drugs back in 2012 and failed the test, which resulted in him losing his chances and served a two year ban from boxing, Whyte may now have to wait for another chance at fighting a champion in the future if they have made sure he isn’t fighting Wilder or Fury, after the Wilder v Fury fight. Whyte can be named as a top fighter as well, won 26 fights and only lost 1 bout against his amateur partner and rival Anthony Joshua.
