Oleksandr Usyk Set to Fight Who?

Oleksandr Usyk Set to Fight Who?

Oleksandr Usyk hasn’t had the best start to the heavyweight division, due to all of his injuries in the past year. His first fight in this division was meant to be against Carlos Takam, to see if he is built to be in this division, however this went downhill due to his injury, however he is still wanting to go into the heavyweight division and his arrival into this division is way overdue. We’ve been waiting and waiting for him to make his debut, but we are still waiting for him to announce his first fight however he has named one fighter that he is wanting to fight at Wembley if his fight doesn’t go through.

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is the fighter that Usyk wants to fight at the biggest stage of them all… Wembley! If his fight with Andy Ruiz Jr for the chance to win his titles back doesn’t go through. A lot of fans believe that Joshua shouldn’t fight Ruiz straight away and should wait and have a fight before going back into the fight that ended his unbeaten run. Fighters like Deontay Wilder have said Joshua should wait and see what happens in the future, however Wilder will see this as an easy opportunity to win the other major titles now. This could eb a great opportunity for Usyk to see what fighting in this division is really like, with one of the top fighters in the division.

For many fans, they believe that Joshua should take this fight with Usyk and then fight Ruiz Jr after he gets back on winning ways, because if he loses to Ruiz for the second time… his career won’t be over, but he’ll have to work his way back up the pecking order until he gets another shot at any of the championships ever again! He will have to fight worse fighters and work his way back up, however if Usyk loses… what will he do? He may keep going to see if he can improve, or he will go back into the cruiserweight division.
