The main event, which came to you from Ottawa, Canada; saw the much anticipated matchup between lightweight battlers, Al Iaquinta and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. And the fight lived up to the hype in a five-round thriller. Donald Cerrone showed he is back in his best division, having fought also at Welterweight, with a dominating performance. Al Iaquinta showed true fighting spirit but came off on the wrong end of the unanimous decision. Cerrone has spoken of his desire to fight Conor McGregor, potentially in July, but as the Irishman says he has retired, this might not be straightforward!
The co- main event featured Derek Brunson and Elias Theodorou at 185 lbs. Brunson came out victorious taking the unanimous decision, in what some would describe as a laboured performance on both fronts.
