Anthony Joshua, one of the biggest names in boxing, one of the biggest names in history! Boxing talent went from nothing to something, he has been up and down in his life, right now its only just getting started! Anthony Joshua is a pro boxer that currently holds three of four major titles in the heavyweight division, he’s got the IBF, IBO and the WBO championship and is trying to secure the belt against Deontay Wilder! WBC is the only belt Joshua doesn’t have… he’s aiming to have the fight this year in April but its very unlikely to happen since Wilder is wanting to fight Fury again for his title. Anthony Joshua is trying his best to get that title but he may have to wait. He has been through a lot before his successful career as a pro boxer and managed to keep his composure and stick to something he loves! This is Anthony Joshua’s Documentary!
Joshua was born on the 15th October 1989 in Watford, Hertfordshire. He was born in Watford but went to Nigeria when he was young but returned back to England to live out the rest of his days, the reason they came back to England was because his parents broke up and his mother decided to move back! Once he returned to England, he started attending a school known as Kings Langley Secondary School. Anthony was always good at sports and PE when he was at school, He would excel in Football and any type of running! He completed the 100m run in 11.5 seconds youth years but didnt decide to run for a career: Boxing was what he ended up doing. When Joshua was 18 he started boxing at Finchley ABC in Barnet, North London, he managed to get into boxing and the gym by his cousin in 2007! From this day on he changed his career for the better, however before all this he got involved with drugs which lead him to be caught by the police! He was arrested and later nearly put in jail for use and possession of cannabis! Later found out he was hanging around the wrong people and got spared from jail time. He later dropped this image and went into boxing for real.
Boxing was the main sport Joshua went for, and its clear to see why. In his early days, he would train at Klitschko’s gym and Finley ABC to try his best to get into boxing. Work hard and play hard was his motive! In his early days, he wouldn’t win as many fights, he wouldn’t really have a chance, they would always throw him into the deep end to try and get him to excel in this sport, however he managed to get a shot at the Olympics in 2012! Joshua managed to get himself a gold medal and his start to boxing had started after this point. The training he went through, the jail time he took, all lead up to him becoming one of the best boxers in the world. His rival from back in the day was Dillian Whyte and in Semi Pro years Whyte ended up beating Joshua when they went head to head, however in 2015 they had a professional bout, Joshua came out on top! We can see who the better fight was here! He started his professional career in 2013 and started his unbeaten run with a TKO in the 1st round against a man who was unbeaten in 8 fights!
Started boxing in 2013 against Emanuel leo, managed to pick up the win in the first round, this was the start of his incredible career! He went up against a lot of difficult fighters and on every single one! He’s currently one of the best boxers in the world, maybe in front of Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury! The best fight he ever fought was against Klitschko! 29th April 2017, the fight that lit up the Heavyweight division, 11 straight rounds of boxing, couple of knock downs and the first ever knock down in Joshua’s career! This was an all out war, Joshua came out on top with a TKO in the 11th round! 2017 was the year for Joshua! He will continue to perform the way he is! Joshua showed everyone that you can make it anywhere if you try your best and work hard towards what you love doing! 2019 will be the year Joshua becomes the WBC world heavyweight championship, if Deontay Wilder accepts his offers and doesnt fight Tyson Fury!
From nothing to something, Joshua is a true fighter, he talks the talk and he walks the walk! There is no one else like him. As of right now, Joshua is trying to secure a fight between Wilder or Fury, this may not happen since these two are wanting to have another fight due to the fight ending in a draw but, Joshua will be trying to get the deal better than anyone else but right now its looking unlikely so, he may have to fight someone else for now and fight Wilder or Fury in the future! Which fight would you like to watch in the future? Fury v Joshua or Wilder v Joshua?
