Recently, AEW hosted an event, known as a PPV, a paper-per-view- event, that received a lot of love from their fans, especially from all the CM Punk fans, however, there has been a massive issue that has occurred during that night that CM Punk addressed in the most recent episode of AEW!
CM Punk won the AEW Championship on an episode of Double or Nothing against “Hangman” Adam Page, this was CM Punks’ first championship since 2013. 2013 however he held the WWE Championship.
This is a sad time for all CM Punk fans and AEW Fans, as CM Punk has announced that he got seriously injured during the match and will have to step away from AEW after only just winning the AEW World championship! He was forced to do this as he needs surgery.

“The bad news is I’m injured and I need surgery, A couple of things are broken, the biggest one is my heart because I love performing in front of all of you and I wanted to go on one hell of a run.” said Punk on an episode of AEW!
After this, CM Punk will return to the ring if the surgery goes successful and take back what he won, as he stated in the recent episode, this will not be the last time people see “the best in the world
