Modern Canada Stamps Are Relatively Inexpensive
Despite it being such an attractive stamp the $1 Loon is like most modern Canadian stamps relatively cheap although blocks do tend to command a premium. Used are much cheaper than mint and one with a heavyish cancel can often be obtained for a few pennies. This is great for young collectors who can acquire an interesting stamp with a bit of genuine topical interest for a pocket money price.
