Yemen war: Finally some good news

The near Four year Civil War in Yemen is one of the worst yet underreported humanitarian crises of recent years, with thousands of civilians dead and millions more facing starvation. However, we have seen a glimmer of hope in the last few days as the Saudi-led military coalition has allowed wounded Houthi rebels to be medically evacuated to Oman for treatment, as a precursor to peace talks. The injured were airlifted by a UN plane – in what will be seen as a positive gesture of goodwill which will hopefully bring the Iranian-backed Houthis rebels to the table.
