For a lot of years now, Covid-19 has been the main target point and the main aim to defeat, however with viruses and diseases, they never truly go away. For example, the common cold and Flu, even with the Flu jab, it’s still around today and still causing issues, however, Covid-19 is slightly different. How is it different and how will this affect us in the years to come?
Covid-19 started late 2019 coming into 2020, starting off as a virus that is only in China, now has spread across the world and causing the world to panic. This virus has made the world go mad. Boris Johnson making sure everyone wears masks everywhere, another lockdown to contain the virus and new variants that come along with it. Everything has changed, the way we all look at the world has changed for these few years and for more to come.
So far, Covid-19 has shown us that it’s unpredictable, one minute the world could be fine with barely any cases in each country, to now having nearly 100,000 cases in one day. The UK especially has seen how unpredictable this virus can appear to be. The UK has had 4 wave spikes since the virus first begin in the UK with nearly 4 lockdown attempts. There isn’t really any way to counter this virus, however, there is some stuff people can do to help protect themselves and get themselves ready for if another lockdown does happen!
The most obvious thing is if you end up feeling symptoms, like shown in the picture above, get a lateral flow and stay in the house to avoid spreading the virus. Test yourself if you are concerned and always listen to what is being said as this could save your life. Other than this, make sure whoever is terrible with lockdowns and terrible by themselves, if living by themselves, keep yourself busy with something in the house. Could be Gaming or Working out. Mental Health is the worst part of lockdown and keeping yourself busy could help throughout another lockdown, if this does happen!
Lastly, what will happen in the future? Covid-19 will more than likely stay in the world but everyone will be able to cope with it, as more and more stuff is being developed every day to counter the virus and to counter the spread, so Covid will more than likely be like the Flu, so each year you will more than likely be needing to go to the doctors and get both Flu and Covid jabs!
