Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has announced that some twitter employees can continue to work at home, even after lockdown is lifted.

Sever staff and other physical labour staff will still have to be on sight obviously.

“We’ve been very thoughtful in how we’ve approached this from the time we were one of the first companies to move to a work-from-home model,” a representative for Twitter told BuzzFeed. “We’ll continue to be, and we’ll continue to put the safety of our people and communities first.”

Twitter was fairly proactive when it came to keeping employees safe, with all employees being urged to work from home back in March.

Jennifer Christie, the company’s head of human resources, says it will “never probably be the same,” according to BuzzFeed.

“People who were reticent to work remotely will find that they really thrive that way,” Christie said. “Managers who didn’t think they could manage teams that were remote will have a different perspective. I do think we won’t go back.”

It’s also been reported that offices aren’t likely to open until September at the earliest, for Twitter at least.
