The virus has spread to Cumbria and not many people have been diagnosed with the virus, other than some people that have returned from holiday where the virus is, however more and more people in the UK are getting this virus, however a School in Carlisle has fallen victim to the virus and could be stopping, however the headmaster of this school has said it is still open and still having students coming into the school.
Trinity School is the secondary school that has had a teacher diagnosed with the virus after returning from a trip to Northern Italy. Mainly this is how the virus made it to the UK and even in Carlisle. The teacher has been said to of followed the guidelines of the terms and has attended the school but has not done anything wrong, meaning there was no symptoms found. Mr Cox stated, “The teacher returned from Milan before the city was identified as a risk area, so has followed the guidance appropriately and done absolutely nothing wrong in terms of being back in the school.”

If it is true he has attended the school, there will be an issue when it starts spreading around that school. The virus wouldn’t harm any of these pupils since there is a 0.2% chance of dying under the age of 50 years old! Currently in the UK, the virus isn’t the emergency here but soon it could be! The headmaster cant stress enough by saying students should still attend and make sure if you feel the symptoms of this virus, make sure to stay away.
