With the rise in Covid-19 cases, comes more and more issues for the NHS staff, and the workers that are getting phone calls none stop on 111 and the coronavirus line. This is the hardest moment in NHS history since the modern age and will most likely be apart of history for many years.

Coronavirus has had a second spike recently, with over 20,000 cases a day and nothing being done about it, other than having tiers of lockdown, meaning wherever has the most cases, go into a different tier lockdown.

The NHS app has currently had 19 million downloads since its launch and some people are happy with it as others forget they have the app. The app allows users to check into venues, check coronavirus symptoms, and put in coronavirus results, however, this app has had some ups and downs since its launch.

The ups are that it can do a lot to help someone when they don’t want to call up 111 and this app will tell them to self-isolate and give them time to self isolate from. For example, if the user has a cough they may tell them to self-isolate for 7 days.

The downs are not many people remember they have the app until a notification pops up. This was an issue but right now it is being pushed to be used everywhere as fast food and other venues require you to have the app to register you are there. This helps with track and trace.

With this in mind, they are going to be issuing more self-isolation alerts, which allows people not to go out if they have any symptoms of the virus. Maybe longer self-isolation too. Right now, having the app is a definite must. Or you won’t be able to see if the places you go had coronavirus and you won’t get the alert to your phone.
