The German cast of big brother has been cut off from the world since February, and they will be told about the Coronavirus outbreak live on air.
They will be told tonight live on air on a TV special, after “consultation with relatives”. The show’s host Jochen Schropp and its resident doctor will inform housemates about the pandemic. Live audiences were made to stop attending recently on the Canadian show.
“The health and safety of our staff, crew, houseguests, and audience members are of the utmost importance,” production company Global TV said in a statement.
“We will continue to produce the show and monitor the situation closely.”

The cast of the Canadian show have since been informed of the outbreak, and reassured that their families are doing fine.
The Australian Big Brother cast has also been told, but the Brazilian one hasn’t yet.
