A relaxed beach-goer in Florida was reportedly bit by a shark recently.

Ouch!

The man was reportedly cool as ice the whole time he was in possession of the shark. He was in the water on a Florida beach when a mid sized shark cane and bit him on the arm. Without panicking, he let the shark hang on there until help arrived that could benefit them both.

Once the ocean medical team arrived, he was still caught standing there calmly as the medics rescued them both. He jokingly said “I just wanted to play volleyball guys, OK?”

The shark that bit him is from a breed called nurse sharks, which can grow up to 14 long. Luckily for this man, the shark wasn’t even half that. They also have serrated teeth that are used to crush their prey like shell fish. They’re the 4th most likely shark to bite you in the wild too, according to National Geographic.

An onlooker, 17 year old carlos, said that as soon as he saw the crazy situation, he turned on his camera and started filming. He also reassured us all at home that both the shark and man are alright.

Carlos said: “I was told that the shark was successfully removed and released by the police.”

Another onlooker said the incident went on for as long as 45 minutes.
