Not too long ago, Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak were prosecuted due to the lockdown parties that took place during the year 2020, while the Coronavirus pandemic was going on. In 2020, lockdown started and it’s reported that the No 10 Downing Street had parties throughout the lockdown time!
Lockdown occurred in the UK due to the rise in Covid-19 cases and there was no way of stopping the virus at that time, therefore there was a process that took place. March 2020 was the time it started and it ended and started a few times before they scarped it all together!

After the parties were found out, Boris Johnson, PM’s wife, and the Chancellor received fixed penalties for attending the party gatherings. As a result, Boris Johnson became the first serving PM to be sanctioned for breaking the laws he stated!
Mr. Johnson said;
He felt ” an even greater sense of obligation to deliver on the priorities of the British people”
While the Chancellor said he was “focused on delivering for the British people”.
This wasn’t the best moment for both the PM and the Chancellor as they received many fines due to the lockdown parties and since the reports that were made, all three have apologized to the British Public and said they will still not resign.
It’s believed that Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have pledged to stay in the positions they are in currently, despite being fined by the police for breaking the rules of lockdown during the 2020 lockdown!
