Los Angeles Dodgers, National League West, San Francisco Giants, World Series

LA Dodgers Through To The 2021 NL Championship

The LA Dodgers are through to the National League Championship thanks to a 2-1 game five win over divisional rivals the San Francisco Giants. It was a tense affair and one that had a surprise hero – Cory Bellinger whose ninth-inning base hit drove in the winning run. This was a great way to make up for a poor season where he had a pretty abysmal .165 batting average!

Justin Tucker scored the all-important winning run and now the Dodgers will face last years Championship opponents The Atlanta Braves. That was a great series in which they came back from 3-1 down to win 4-3. A similarly exciting seven-game series would suit us.

We tipped the Dodgers for the World Series and after that gritty showing, they look capable of retaining their crown.

The Giants will be disappointed – after all, they amassed 108 wins and took the NL West title. Surprisingly this was the two sides first postseason meeting and hopefully not the last,
